WESP is taking a significant step forward by entering the commercial vehicle market through a new partnership with German industrial giant Knorr-Bremse. The collaboration, announced on 13 March, will adapt our data analytics expertise to serve truck and trailer workshops across Europe.
Our first joint project applies WESP’s benchmarking technology to the commercial vehicle sector. The system will enable truck workshops to compare their performance against industry averages, identify improvement opportunities, and make informed business decisions based on solid data.
« This partnership allows us to bring our proven workshop solutions to an entirely new segment, » explains Bas Wintjes, Managing Director of WESP. « By combining our dashboard technology with Knorr-Bremse’s deep understanding of commercial vehicles, we’re creating tools specifically designed for truck workshop needs. »
From Cars to Trucks: Expanding Our Reach
The move into commercial vehicles is a natural evolution of our business. The benchmarking system will eventually be built on completely new core technologies that, in the future, will allow us to also revamp our Workshop Dashboard for passenger vehicles.
Selected workshops in the Netherlands and Germany will begin testing the system later this year, with a wider rollout after that. The dashboard will help truck workshops track key performance indicators such as parts usage, labour efficiency, and service opportunities.
This expansion allows WESP to serve a broader range of automotive businesses while building on our established strengths in workshop data management and analysis.
